THE RESURRECTION FROM HADES:

RESURRECTING FROM HADES WAS NOT THE RESURRECTION OF A DEAD BODY BUT A RESURRECTION OF THE SPIRIT.

CONFUSING THE SPIRITUAL AND METAPHORIC WITH THE PHYSICAL AND LITERAL:

There are numerous examples from which the followers of Jesus misinterpreted the spiritual or metaphoric for the physical and literal.
When Jesus warned his followers about the Yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees they thought that he was literally referring to their bread when in fact he was referring to their teachings

Matthew 16:6-8
"Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."They discussed this among themselves and said, "It is because we didn't bring any bread."Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, "You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread?

Matthew 16:11-12
How is it you don't understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

When Lazarus was physically dead Jesus referred to this as "Sleep". In response his followers did not realize that he was actually dead but rather thought he was experiencing a normal sleep.

John 11:11-13
After he had said this, he went on to tell them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up."His disciples replied, "Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better." Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep.

THE KORAN ALSO WARNS ABOUT THOSE WHO CONFUSE THE ALLEGORICAL WITH THE DECISIVE OR LITERAL.

Surah 3:7
He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation.

SPIRITUAL RESURRECTION NOT A PHYSICAL RESURRECTION

Similar to the above mentioned examples the resurrection of Jesus was not a resurrection from a physical death but was rather a spiritual resurrection from Hades the realm of the dead. In fact King David clearly foretold that Jesus would resurrect from Hades while his physical body would not be subject to death:

ACTS 2:30-31
Foreseeing this, David spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His body see decay.

THE SPIRIT AND THE SOUL

When the Spirit(Ghost) or Breath of Life completely departs then the Soul also departs and returns to its lifeless and unconscious state where it resides in Hades. Hades is a realm of unconsciousness where the dead are stored or sleeping until the Day of Resurrection and Judgment.

In complete separation from the Spirit, the Soul is dead and will only reawaken when it once again comes in contact with the Spirit. Therefore all souls will awaken when the Angel Gabriel blows the Trumpet. The Trumpet of Gabriel is Jesus blowing the Breath of Life upon the lifeless Souls. Just as Gabriel blew the Breath of Life into Mary who then conceived in her womb Jesus the one born of the Holy Spirit who in essence became the Trumpet of Judgment.

Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and BREATHED into his nostrils the BREATH OF LIFE; and man BECAME a LIVING SOUL.

Surah 21:91
And she who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her of Our inspiration and made her and her son a sign for the nations.

John 20:21-22
Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit.

Therefore when an individual experiences a TRUE DEATH the Spirit COMPLETELY departs and the Soul then returns to its unconscious and lifeless state in the Realm of the Dead which is Hades. Therefore the Dead are unaware and know absolutely nothing as the thought process completely perishes:

Ecclesiastes 9:5
For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing;...

Psalms 146:4
His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

UNDERSTANDING THE PROCESS OF DEATH

The first process towards death or dying is that one becomes weary and gives up the Spirit(Ghost). However just because one gives up the Spirit does not necessarily mean that the spirit departs. One can become disconnected from the spirit. In this setting breathing becomes extremely slow and almost non-existent and vital signs may not even be detectable. However the person is still alive. During this state a person may experience visions of spiritual travel which would not be possible if that individual were truly dead.

For example it is known that Lazarus was truly dead and therefore he did not have any visions to report about the time he was dead because in his true death he was in Hades where there is no consciousness. In this regard Jesus referred to Lazarus as being asleep.

JESUS WAS NOT PHYSICALLY DEAD

Although Jesus did give up the Spirit or Ghost he was not truly dead because he was experiencing awareness, visions and spiritual travel which took him to Hades. If Jesus were truly dead he would not be aware of anything. Jesus spirit did not depart and accordingly his Soul was still intact when he journeyed to Hades. In this regard Jesus states that God would not leave his soul in Hades but rather he would experience a spiritual resurrection from Hades with his Soul still in tact. Therefore Jesus' Soul did not depart nor did his body suffer decay which together are two signs of a physical death.

DECAY OF A BODY IS A SIGN OF A PHYSICAL DEATH

In a true death Lazarus' body began to decay(Stink):

John 11:39
Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

THE DEPARTING AND RETURNING OF A SOUL IS A SIGN OF A PHYSICAL DEATH AND RESURRECTION

Elijah brought a child back from the realm of the dead(Hades). In this process the child's Soul Returned. The returning Soul is a most necessary manifestation for resurrection. Jesus Soul never returned but remained intact and it was with his soul intact that he resurrected from Hades:

I KINGS 17:21-22
And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again. And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

ACTS 2:27
for You will not abandon my soul into Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see decay.

JESUS RESURRECTION WAS CLEARLY ABOUT RETURNING FROM HADES (THE REALM OF THE DEAD) AND NOT A PHYSICAL RESURRECTION OF A DEAD BODY:

ACTS 2:30-31
Foreseeing this, David spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His body see decay.
