THE KORAN REVEALED IN ASCENT & DESCENT

(THE SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NAZUL AL-KORAN & LAYL AL QADR)

THE 17TH OF RAMADAN IS NAZUL AL-KORAN.

(NAZUL AL-KORAN IS NOT LAYL AL-QADR)

Muslims in such countries as Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia will be honoring the revelation of the Koran on the 17th of Ramadan in an observance called Nazul-Al-Koran. Nazul refers to that which was SENT DOWN by divine revelation. This is also commonly referred to as the Tanzeel of the Koran which is the method in which it DESCENDED. Tanzeel is etymologically rooted in the word Nazul. The dating of Nazul Al-Koran on the 17th of Ramadan is derived from a Koranic verse which associates the date in which the Koran was SENT DOWN as being the same date as the Battle of Badr. It is historically acknowledged that the Battle of Badr took place on the 17th of Ramadan.

SURAH 8:41
...if ye do believe in Allah and in the revelation(Koran) We sent down(Nazeel) to Our servant on the Day of distinction,- the Day when the Two armies met(Badr). For Allah has power over all things.

LAYAL AL QADR (THE ASCENDING AND DESCENDING NIGHT OF POWER)

In contrast to that which was exclusively revealed in descension meaning that which was Sent Down there is the observance of that which was revealed in ASCENSION and DESCENSION. This is known as Layal Al-Qadr meaning the Night of Power. The Night of Power is understood in terms of earthly time being translated and equated to a divine measurement of time in which a day is equated to a Thousand Months.

Surah 97: AL-QADR:
Surely We revealed it on the grand night.
And what will make you comprehend what the grand night is
The grand night is better than a thousand months

The angels and Gibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair, Peace! it is till the break of the morning.

THIS FORM OF ERRATIC TIME TRANSLATION IS ONLY UNDERSTOOD IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WAYS OF ASCENSION:

(THE GRAND NIGHT IS BETTER THAN A THOUSAND MONTHS)

The following Ayats likewise translate time in the realm of Ascension

SURAH 70:4 (THE WAYS OF ASCENT)
To Him ASCEND the angels and the Spirit in a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years...

SURAH 32:5
He regulates the affair from the heaven to the earth; then shall it ASCEND to Him in a day the measure of which is a thousand years of what you count.

SURAH 22:47
...and surely a day WITH YOUR LORD is as a thousand years of what you number.

The Night of Power is that in which the Angel Gabriel descended and took the Prophet Muhammad on the Journey to Ascension where the Koran was revealed . Therefore on Layal Al-Qadr the Koran was revealed by the Ascending and Descending nature of the Angel Gabriel.

NAZUL AL-KORAN IS NOT LAYL AL- QADR

There are two major identifying factors that demonstrate the difference between Nazul Al-Koran and Layl Al-Qadr. The first being the Ascending nature of Layl Al-Qadr which is understood through time translation and conversion which is a clear manifestation of Ascension. In this particular case the Night of Power is comparatively better or more than a Thousand Months. Nazul Al-Koran is not identified in terms of time translation or conversion.and therefore it has no ascending attribute but is rather exclusively associated with descent or that which was Sent Down.

The second distinguishing factor which separates Nazul-Al-Koran from Layl Al-Qadr is its dating. Nazul Al-Koran is dated on the 17th of Ramadan as the Koran equates the date of Nazul Al-Koran as being the same date as the Battle of Badr. Layl Al-Qadr is dated on the 27th day of Ramadan. This is within the realm of that which has been decreed as Layl Al-Qadr was determined to appear in the Last 7 days of Ramadan. This clearly eliminates even the remotest possibility of Nazul Al-Koran being the same as the Night of Power.

LAYAL AL-QADR IN THE LAST 7 NIGHTS OF RAMADAN

Layal Al-Qadr was even narrowed to the last 7 days

Sahih al-Bukhari 2015
: Book 32, Hadith 2
: Vol. 3, Book 32, Hadith 232

Narrated Ibn `Umar:

Some men amongst the companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) were shown in their dreams that the night of Qadr was in the last seven nights of Ramadan. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "It seems that all your dreams agree that (the Night of Qadr) is in the last seven nights, and whoever wants to search for it (i.e. the Night of Qadr) should search in the last seven (nights of Ramadan).

THE ASCENDING AND DESCENDING NATURE IS THAT WHICH IS ASSOCIATED WITH JERUSALEM:

It was in Jerusalem that Jacob was shown the Vision of the Ascending and Descending Angels:

GENESIS 28:12
And he dreamed, and behold, there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ASCENDING and DESCENDING on it!

The Prophet Muhammad traveled from the Kaaba in Mecca to the Holiest site of the Israelites in Jerusalem being the site of the former Solomonic Temple. It was from the precise location where the Holy of Holies was once stored that he Ascended beyond the 7th Heaven. The Night of Power(Layl Al-Qadr) and the Midnight Journey to Ascension where originally understood to be the same.

Just as Jesus was known as one who Ascended and Descended the Koran is a revelation that was revealed in both an Ascending and Descending State.

JOHN 3:13
No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

In summary the Koran was revealed in two instant, immediate and distinct revelations known as Nazul Al-Koran and Layl Al-Qadr The former referring to that which was revealed exclusively as a descending revelation. Nazul Al-Koran took place in Mecca in the year 610. This was the revelation of Surah 96. The latter is that which was revealed in an Ascending and Descending manner. Layl Al-Qadr meaning the Night of Power is that which resulted in the Prophet Muhammad's Heavenly Ascension which took place in Jerusalem in the year 620. This is also known as Al-Isra Wa Miraaj and took place on the 27th of Ramadan.

(With the two Month Hijra Calendar Shift the honoring of the Ascension shifted to the 27th of Rajab. However it was originally observed on the 27th of Ramadan which was seasonally aligned to the Month of September. )
