KARAITE ISRAELITE MOSQUE OF ASCENSION
AND THE TEMPLE OF KEDAR MINISTRIES
(The Original Kedar-Rite of the Karaim)
QARAY - KARAITES قريظة
At the Last Supper Jesus broke bread with his disciples. This bread was identified with the Greek word Artos which refers to that which is LEAVENED as opposed to Azymos which is used to describe UNLEAVENED BREAD.
THE MIRACLE OF MANNA: THE LEAVENED BREAD FROM HEAVEN.
Artos which designates LEAVENED BREAD is also that which is used to describe MANNA the miraculous bread that fell from Heaven during the time the Israelites were in the Wilderness after departing from Egypt.
Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread(Artos) from Heaven to eat
THEREFORE LEAVEN IS THE BREAD OF HEAVEN
Another parable spake he unto them; THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS LIKE UNTO LEAVEN which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was LEAVEN.
And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
The Bread that Jesus and his disciples ate at the Last Supper was MANNA and in this regard it is described as LEAVEN BREAD:
THE KORAN INFORMS US THAT THE BREAD OF THE LAST SUPPER WAS MANNA THAT FELL FROM HEAVEN
Jesus the son of Mary said: O Allah, our Lord! send down to us FOOD FROM HEAVEN for our Table which should be to us an Ever-Recurring Festival, to the first of us and to the last of us, and as a SIGN FROM THEE, and grant us means of subsistence, and Thou art the best of the Providers.
Manna being the Bread that fell from Heaven is symbolized by Leavened Bread and the Bread that symbolized Jesus' Body is Leavened. Jesus fed this Bread to his disciples at the Last Supper.
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread(Artos), and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, Take, eat; this is my body.
Therefore Leavened Bread represents Manna and the Body of Christ.
LEAVENED BREAD REPRESENTS JESUS' BODY AS HE HAD RISEN FROM THE REALM OF THE DEAD WHICH IS HADES:
The Resurrection or Rising of Jesus was NOT from a physical death but was rather a spiritual ascension from the realm of the dead which is Hades.
Foreseeing this, David spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His body see decay.
for You will not abandon my LIFE into Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see decay.
Through Jesus' Resurrection and Rise to Consciousness his Body became associated with the Leavened or Risen Bread and thus his disciples ate the Leaven Bread as a representation of his body. As mentioned earlier Leaven represents the Kingdom of Heaven. The Leaven or Risen Bread also represents Jesus' Ascension or Ascending Body.
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, Take, eat; this is my body.
IMAM HOSSEIN THE PASSOVER LAMB:
Imam Hossein was killed on Ashura the Day in which the Passover Lamb was selected.
COVERED IN THE BLOOD OF HOSSEIN:
On Ashura Shiites cut themselves in a sacrificial remembrance of the Blood shed by Hossein. However the Alevi more appropriately eat a red soup that is colored by Grape Juice.

When the 10th of Muharram(Ashura) comes there are sad scenes in the Persian part of the Shia world. White shirted men form in processions that march through the streets beating themselves over the head and shoulders with whips until their persons and their garments are clotted with blood while they wail Hassan, Hosseyn, Hassan, Husseyn in their annual lament for the death of their favorites. ...
In Turkey such passion plays are not seen on the contrary your good Alevi having denied the flesh to a perceptible degree and mourned with real regret for the heroes of his faith, feels in a satisfied mood with himself and with things generally. They make at this season a SOUP COLORED RED and send portions from house to house for as much as three days in succession. This soup is called Ashura and even Christians and other outsiders are welcomed to share in it if circumstances admit. It is regarded as sacrificial and it brings the greatest festival of all year to Shias. The Hadji Bek Tashi tekye in this city , a Shia foundation serves RED SOUP at Ashura to all comers and I partook of it a year or two ago in response to the invitation of my friend the Sheikh. He told me that they made up about eight bushels of cracked wheat, 250 POUNDS OF GRAPE SYRUP with walnuts corn and several other ingredients into the SOUP...

The Alevi Muhammadans Fast (till sunset) for ten days prior to Ashura and especially they refrain from drinking pure water although they allow milk, soup and water mixed with fruit juices. For Orthodox Muhammadans Ramazan has supplanted the Fast preceding Ashura but the RED SOUP alleged to contain seven ingredients is distributed every year at the recurring season to the crowd that gathers to partake of it at the Palace of the Sultan. They are particular about the COLOR which they usually produce with GRAPE JUICE and which seems to me doubtless a MEMORIAL OF THE USE OF SACRIFICIAL BLOOD. The abstentation of water is now connected with the death of Hassan and Hussein the sons of the fourth Caliph Ali who are said to have been deprived of water for ten days before they were killed. The ALEVI People are in the habit of sending dishes of soup to the houses of their neighbors and friends at the annual festival and occasionally invite their Christian acquaintances to sit with them at their own tables.
THE EUCARIST OF A NEW PASSOVER
THE LEAVENED MANNA IS THE BODY OF JESUS AND THE GRAPE JUICE IS THE BLOOD OF HOSSEIN THE PASSOVER LAMB.
